Turtle Rock Vineyards is a small, family-owned boutique winery in Paso Robles, California, located in Tin City, specializing in critically acclaimed, high-scoring Rhone varietals. Founded by Don and Claudia Burns, it focuses on sustainable farming and high-quality fruit from the Willow Creek and Templeton Gap districts to produce intense, balanced wines.
Known for exceptional Syrah and blends, including the 100-point 2019 G2 Syrah, 2022 Westberg Red, and Willow White. Production: Small-batch production, approximately 1,500 cases per year. Tasting Experience: Offers intimate, curated tastings of current vintages, often showcasing single-vineyard Syrah, Graciano, and Grenache blends. Philosophy: Believes in minimal intervention, utilizing sustainable practices and low yields to reflect the terroir of the Willow Creek and Templeton Gap areas.

Great wine starts with great fruit. The beauty of our wine is a reflection of our phenomenal vineyard sites and amazing vintner partners. Having complete farming control allows us to dictate all aspects of our sustainable and organic viticulture practices including pruning technics, canopy management, water usage and when to harvest. We also intentionally harvest low yields to ensure the highest possible quality of wine. Our fruit is sourced from sites that are widely regarded to be among the most prestigious vineyards in the central coast. There are several key components we focus on when choosing a site including soil composition, climate, elevation and orientation. We primarily source our fruit from the Willow Creek District appellation, which exceeds all our criteria for growing excellent wine as do the vintners who farm them. It is our pleasure to have the opportunity to share their bounty with you.
